Vicki Madden is a New York City teacher and writer. Her publication credits include A Public Space and The New York Times, where her essay made all the Top Ten lists: most tweeted, emailed, viewed and shared. She’s been a Fellow at the literary magazine, A Public Space, and served as Writer-in-Residence for Whitman College’s First-Gen Program and a speaker at the Harvard Law School Education Access Conference. Heart Problems was recognized on the Special Mention list of the 2022 Pushcart Prizes.
